Description Baptiste Mille-Mathias 2012-03-01 10:35:35 UTC
I discovered the donation I gave last year (100 $) has been renewed this year without notice. I don't remember seeing last year when I payed that the donation would be renewed.

Another problem is I didn't received beforehands a mail this year to inform me 100$ will be withdrawed for my bank account from the Foundation. I don't have information how to stop the donation; I can't change the hacker sponsored, I can't changed the detail of my donation (give more or less); in few words, change the donation details.

I'm not against giving money to the foundation I just want the process to be clear, precise and to be editable (stop donation, change sponsored hacker, ...)

There is really a flaw in the process.

I forgot to say I discovered the withdrawal was done because I was looking to my paypal account.

yes, sadly it's something that PayPal does, and the entire process freezes the details at the time of the donation.

the (sucky) work around it, is to just cancel the recurring donation; we can refund the erroneous donation to the Foundation as well: just contact the Foundation at friends@gnome.org or at fundraising@gnome.org or, if everything fails, at board@gnome.org and we'll take it from there.

I'm very sorry about the issue.

feel free to contact me, or the board, if you have any further issue - and thanks again for the patience and understanding.
