Description Kat 2012-02-21 10:14:40 UTC
The baobab user help was ported from DocBook to Mallard in bug 658377, the port was basic and needs more work.

TODOs:
- scan-remote.page needs to be finished
- troubleshooting pages need to be finished
- *.stub pages need to be finished, merged into other pages or deleted
- all quoted out text should be merged into the page that it is on, or deleted
Comment 1 André Klapper 2012-02-22 10:08:50 UTC
Do we want to have a help component in Bugzilla?
Comment 2 Paolo Borelli 2012-02-22 10:23:19 UTC
sounds like a good idea
Comment 3 Paolo Borelli 2012-02-22 10:31:10 UTC
I added it and set the default assignee to gnome-user-docs-maint@gnome.bugs
Comment 4 Kat 2013-07-24 12:34:17 UTC
Thanks Paolo.

The help has just been updated for 3.8, it would have been nice to have a bug after the redesign as we *ahem* missed it. Is any UI or functionality changing for 3.10?

scan-remote.page is now finished, but we need a page or section about the possible URLs for the "connect to server" dialog.

We could also do with some "How do I…?" pages.
Comment 5 Baptiste Mille-Mathias 2014-01-26 00:38:57 UTC
For the "connect to server" dialog, wouldn't it be better to document it directly in the gnome-user-docs module (as I did find now) and provide a link pointing there ?

Also I plan to add a page about common problems (like the error we get when some files weren't scanned or slow scan).

For now let's add that here but I guess it would better to provided a help topic
for nautilus-connect-server in the gnome-user-docs

Review of attachment 267218 [details] [review]:

Can you create a new page for supported protocols instead of adding it to scan-remote? Please use one of the other pages as a template. I think that's the best place to explain the address syntax as well. You should also add a license for the new page and I will work on adding one for the old pages.

Comment 11 Baptiste Mille-Mathias 2014-01-27 10:37:01 UTC
The latest patch removes the example for the scan-remote.page and adds a link to the documentation that already exist in gnome-user-docs.
