Description Lucas Christophe 2012-02-16 02:38:58 UTC
Hello,
If I open an indexed PNG, the color order is wrong in the color map.
The palette is distorted, there is a shift !
Example:
The good palette (ex: with photoshop):
http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/692/paltoshops.png

The wrong palette with GIMP:

Thank you for your support and for your great job on GIMP,
Christophe.

Hi Lucas,
Thanks for taking the time to report this bug.
Please try GIMP version 2.7.4 and report back if the problem still exists, as there will not be any more fixes to version 2.6.x.
Comment 2 Lucas Christophe 2012-02-17 19:16:26 UTC
Thanks for you response.
I can't try the version 2.7.4 because the GIMP crashes at start !
I'm under XP 32 Bits Service Pack 3 (PIVc), version 2011-12-18 / 53.8MB.
Otherwise I tried the 2.7.3 and the bug is always here.

Kind regards,
Christophe

Unfortunately the problem still exists.
If you want to test yourself, you can use the attached picture.

You can see the correct palette with XNView (free viewer) in "image" and "edit palette" or Photoshop...

Otherwise, thank you for the 2.8, good work as usual :)
