Description Michael Hall 2012-02-15 19:24:17 UTC
The gparted menu is not being automatically exported to Unity's global menu the way most Gnome window menus are.

Thank you Michael for you interest in GParted.

Which version of Ubuntu are you using?

Where do you expect the menu entry to appear in the Unity interface?

I am running Ubuntu 12.04
Comment 4 Curtis Gedak 2012-02-15 20:16:02 UTC
Currently GParted does not support the GTKMM 3 (GNOME 3) libraries.

It is possible that these menus do not display where expected in Unity because GParted works only with GTKMM 2.4.

There are efforts underway to get GParted to configure, compile, and link with GTKMM 3.

This should be closed as NOTGNOME since it seems to be a bug in unity affecting all apps run as root.
Comment 6 Curtis Gedak 2012-12-28 20:43:27 UTC
Thanks for the clarification Phillip. Closing this bug as NOTGNOME.
