Hello André,
thanks for your response.

'evtx' is one of the store format from Win7 eventlog. [others are: xml, csv, txt]. The application name is eventvwr.exe (in %SystemRoot%)

Please find attached screengrabs of the Eventviewer and the Logfiles as xml, csv and txt.

Thank you for your taking the time.
Best regards, Ralf

Thank you for reporting this bug but some more information will be required before we can help. Can you tell us what you were doing when the crash occurred etc.

Also see http://wiki.gnucash.org/wiki/Tracefile for how to get a tracefile and attach it to this bug.

Hello Mike,
I just doubleclick the gnucash.lnk (or the gnucash.exe) to open the application.
I am going to generate/attach the tracefile this evening.
Beat regards, Ralf

Hello Mike,
hit!

Output in the Tracefile before:
* 22:06:24  INFO <gnc.engine> [gnc_hook_lookup] no hook lists

As described in bug 668403, comment#11 (John Ralls):
"John Ralls [GnuCash developer] 2012-01-29 16:41:10 UTC

There wasn't any need to reboot or to reinstall gnucash. Did you find anything
in the environment variables?

Oh, wait... PATH. Lilypond is on your PATH, isn't it? Try removing it."

That's it! Liliypond in the PATH! I've removed the entry => gnucash starts succesfull.

André, Mike and John, Thank you very mouch.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Start "gnucash.exe --debug --extra" ===>
In the trace file remains the following warning:
* 22:07:46  WARN <qof.engine> [guid_init()] only got 2310 bytes.
The identifiers might not be very random.
* 22:08:02  WARN <gnc.app-utils> Could not spawn perl: Kindprozess konnte nicht ausgeführt werden (No such file or directory)
Reassign version to 2.4.x so that individual 2.4 versions can be retired.
