Description David Ronis 2012-02-13 16:26:57 UTC
I selected ca 300 messages to move from one folder to another. I get:

Error while Moving messages to 'folder://local/Inbox/Chair'.
Cannot transfer message to destination folder: No such file or directory. This seems to be correct. What I see is ..Inbox etc. in mail/local.

Some more background:

After upgrading evolution last week, I noticed a full copy of my Inbox tree in Drafts/Inbox. I've been moving the contents of that tree to the main Inbox folder, running remove-dupicates, and then deleting the copy in Drafts. (BTW copying the messages seems to always work). I don't know what made the copies appear; perhaps I inadvertently copied them.

Thanks for a bug report. Does the folder tree show Inbox/Chair folder? How was it created? I mean, did you create the Chair folder, didn't enter it yet, and then tried to copy/move messages into it? Because that's the only way I can think of, which may reproduce this.

Hi Milan,

The Inbox/Chair folder shows on the main tree (and as a copy in Drafts/Inbox/Chair). The Inbox/Chair folder was created about 8 years ago, it contains 1700 messages, and works as expected (e.g., filters move incoming mail to it properly).

Hrm, works for me, I just moved more than 3000 messages from one On This Computer folder to another, also newly created folder (the newly created folder is selected after creation, thus everything what is needed for it is there.

This [1] seems to be about the same issue, on the fist look, though the user didn't specify his version yet (as of now).

I'm using the git/master for evo eds, etc.
Comment 6 David Ronis 2012-02-15 19:37:37 UTC
BTW, the link in comment 4 sounds like it's the same problem.
