Description takac1980 2012-02-11 14:11:43 UTC
I use android-sdk on eclipse.

Every time I launch the Android Virtual Device Manager in eclipse,
the Window Title bar is in malfunction.

Please see the attachment.

I can not handle this window.
Eclipse's main window is still functional, and I can close it.
But this AVD's subwindow is not functional, and I can not move nor close it.

Please attach the missing attachment.
Please provide information which GNOME version and which distribution this is about, and why you think that this is a bug in gnome-shell and not in the SDK or Eclipse.

Comment 5 takac1980 2012-02-12 05:45:19 UTC
I think this is Gnome-shell's bug.

Because it happens when I use eclipse in Gnome3.

When I log in to Gnome-classic, it never happens.
I also captured another screenshot in gnome-classic.

umm, excuse me for this mess.

I tried to clean up wrong comments, but I couldn't.

Please ignore the comments no6-8.

The fact that the dialog's title bar is hidden is by design, you must have noticed it happens with other apps too. But the dialog itself should work as usual.

When you say
> But this AVD's subwindow is not functional, and I can not move nor close it.
Do you mean that you cannot click on it and do what you need to, or just that you cannot move or close it?

If the latter, then that's just a bug in Eclipse: modal dialogs should always have a Close button. Or they should make this dialog non-modal. As a workaround, use Esc or Alt+F4 to close the dialog.

> or just that you cannot move or close it?
Yes, I can't move or close it. The other buttons are OK to interact.

> use Esc or Alt+F4 to close the dialog.
OK, the dialog closed when I press Esc.

> the dialog's title bar is hidden is by design
I understand.

So, it seems this is not a bug of Gnome3.
Thanks a lot, and please excuse me for bothering you.

No problem. Could you file a bug against Eclipse, and copy the link here? Thanks.
