GIR: Write and read allow-none for property values

allow-none for properties is not strictly a GIR attribute. However, in
the light of writing libraries with vala and using only GIR I think it would
be good to add this property attribute. Note that GIR format does
allow custom attributes to be set on any element so it's not a
violation.

Did you verify that the typelib compiler won't choke on this? I'd prefer the attribute to be accepted by g-i upstream before adding it to Vala.
Comment 4 jessevdk@gmail.com 2012-03-22 08:58:57 UTC
It seems to work fine here. I can see if something like this will be accepted upstream.
Comment 5 Jürg Billeter 2012-06-24 15:45:24 UTC
Did you get around filing a bug about this with g-i upstream? If yes, please add the g-i bug as dependency of this bug.
Comment 6 jessevdk@gmail.com 2012-06-24 20:41:26 UTC
I filed bug #672612, no replies though...
Comment 7 Ignacio Casal Quinteiro (nacho) 2012-07-09 06:22:18 UTC
It seems there was a reply upstream
Comment 8 Luca Bruno 2013-12-14 13:44:12 UTC
Is this bug obsolete?
Comment 9 Evan Nemerson 2014-05-20 23:45:52 UTC
No, not obsolete. G-I still doesn't support it.
