Are you sure you have blocked contacts? Is this a recent Empathy?
Comment 8 Bilal Shahid 2012-02-15 06:49:41 UTC
yes i am sure i have blocked a contact on empathy using gmail.
using empathy 3.3.5
the log is showing 0 contacts but i have blocked one contact.
Comment 9 Guillaume Desmottes 2012-02-15 08:11:09 UTC
But are you sure the contact has actually been blocked? Can you check using another client like Pidgin?
Comment 10 Bilal Shahid 2012-02-17 18:26:17 UTC
hmmm here is a problem..i dont know about pidgin and never use it.
Comment 11 André Klapper 2012-02-17 19:50:34 UTC
Feel free to use *any* other jabber client then...
Comment 12 Bilal Shahid 2012-02-18 11:51:41 UTC

empathy file transfer log : http://pastebin.com/K3kxChwW
empathy gabble (jabber): http://pastebin.com/Bsx6v2q5
empathy MC log :http://pastebin.com/Y68f08pp
Comment 13 Guillaume Desmottes 2012-02-20 08:28:49 UTC
Looks like the contact is not actually blocked. Could you please:
- Disconnect Empathy
- Start Gabble manually using: GABBLE_PERSIST=1 GABBLE_DEBUG=all WOCKY_DEBUG=all GABBLE_LOGFILE=/tmp/gabble.log /usr/lib/telepathy/telepathy-gabble
- Connect Empathy and reproduce the issue

Attach or mail me /tmp/gabble.log

Comment 15 Guillaume Desmottes 2012-03-19 08:42:22 UTC
you need to do "export GABBLE_..." to actually export the env variables.
Comment 16 Bilal Shahid 2012-04-06 14:19:51 UTC
how could i do that.. ?
thats still in 3.4 as well
Comment 17 André Klapper 2012-04-06 14:47:26 UTC
(In reply to comment #16)
> how could i do that.. ?

export GABBLE_PERSIST=1
export GABBLE_DEBUG=all

and the others.

Just following the instructions in comment 13 would have also worked.
