Description Alexandre Rostovtsev 2012-02-03 22:56:46 UTC
Any text selected and copied from a PDF document in evince, both via Ctrl-C and the right-click menu, gets a newline appended at the end when pasted into another program. Happens with every single pdf document that I have tried. Since okular is not affected by this issue, I assume that this is a bug in evince and not in the poppler library.

I observe this bug with evince-3.2.1 (using poppler-0.18.3 for rendering); users have also reported it with evince-2.32.0.

Looks like it's a poppler problem:

poppler report:
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=45955

But will keep opened as okular seems to be not affected :-/ (while epdfview yes)

It was a bug in poppler-glib, which was fixed on March 26.
