Description:
Vanilla Redhat 7.2 installation from cd. Customized workstation,
basically everything
except for the server features, ext3 filesystem. AMD Duron 700 MHz, 512
MB 
SDRAM, 30 GB disk, lilo on mbr, 256 MB swap, 10 GB each on /, /usr,
/tmp. Small 
winME installation on separate disk.

Installed the Ximian-Gnome desktop and doorman from www.ximian.com,
default 
choices except no graphic login (init 3 on startup). Since then, Galeon
segfaults on 
startup each time.

Cable modem hook-up, standard stuff, 3Com adapter. Gnome startup manager

complains about definition of "HOSTNAME=" variable in
/dhcpc/dhcpcd-eth0.info
not being present in the /etc/hosts file. This name corresponds to the
dynamically 
assigned IP-address at the time of the RedHat installation, except for
dashes instead
of dots and an extra "c" prepended to those numbers.
