GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 668926
Fails to build on GNU/Hurd
Last modified: 2018-06-29 23:05:36 UTC
Created attachment 206336 [details] [review] Patch for building on GNU/Hurd This is Debian bug http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=408583 GnuCash fails to build on the Hurd, because the PATH_MAX constant is undefined on Hurd (see the Debian bug report for the exact location; the crash is in the XML backend). I attach a patch which fixes the problem. I followed the advice given there: http://www.gnu.org/software/hurd/hurd/porting/guidelines.html Note that, with that patch, I was able to start GnuCash on Debian GNU/Hurd. It looks functional, but it crashes when trying to save a file. I will make a separate report for this different issue.
Comment on attachment 206336 [details] [review] Patch for building on GNU/Hurd Not that I have any Hurd system in reach, but the patch looks fine so far.
Comment on attachment 206336 [details] [review] Patch for building on GNU/Hurd r21900 (on SVN trunk), thanks!
Reassign version to 2.4.x so that individual 2.4 versions can be retired.
