GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 668423
xvideo sink can not control the decoration or size of the window it create
Last modified: 2012-01-22 08:34:13 UTC
1. use xvideosink to create an xwindow for displaying a video 2. there is no way to have xvideosink set the window's size and decoration It would be nice if it wasn't necessary to use a separate GUI toolkit to control the size and decoration of a window created by xvideosink
If you want more control over the window created by xvimagesink/ximagesink you have to use some UI toolkit or libX11 yourself. The automatically created window is only meant as a fallback and for debugging purposes.
