Description William Jon McCann 2012-01-18 15:59:36 UTC
Currently we show a status bar text description for each item in the page menu. This causes a visual flash at the bottom of the window and is pretty distracting - causing you to look away from where you are using the menu. The descriptions just don't seem interesting enough to make it worth it. And they don't work at all on touch.

OK, I pretty much agree. This is done in master.
