Remove leading/trailing spaces from get_value_process

Due to the use of some retarded text editor my .gitconfig contained \n characters after the name and some trailing spaces in the email field.

These showed up as weird "square" shaped characters in gitg Preference dialog.

It might be useful to add this patch.

I'm really sorry that this has gone unnoticed. We really do appreciate people submitting patches. Unfortunately yours did not get applied, and is now obsolete due to the new version of gitg. I've applied the corresponding changes in the new gitg, so the issue should be resolved in the next release.
