Description kxra 2012-01-07 02:03:43 UTC
Similar to Google Chrome, Epiphany should separate tabs into separate sandboxed processes that will not crash the whole browser if one of them freezes.
Comment 1 Reinout van Schouwen 2012-01-11 23:32:18 UTC
I think this is planned for when Epiphany switches to Webkit2 GTK+.
See http://blogs.igalia.com/carlosgc/2011/11/04/webkit2-gtk-minibrowser-ported-to-gtk-api/
Comment 2 kxra 2013-07-01 17:05:06 UTC
The switch is complete! Will there now be sandboxing and crash control?
Comment 3 Michael Catanzaro 2016-02-28 16:47:20 UTC
We've had crash control for a while.

Sandboxing is a whole different issue, but it needs to be implemented in WebKit, not Epiphany.
