GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 666857
gradients names are not marked as translatable
Last modified: 2018-05-24 13:07:19 UTC
All gradients are meaningless if you do not understand English. It would be nice, and useful, to let them be translated. The same should apply to all data/ files with strings that are shown to the end user.
That cant be currently done without breaking any and all presets after language change. Presets use the name to link to the resource. It's already broken for the system presets that are translated.
It would be possible to create descriptive labels for the files (gradients, brushes, patterns, dynamics, palettes, etc.)to make them translatable? Thanks.
The solution should be along those lines yes, separating name and label or providing some other means of reference for linking purpose. Making it a enhancement request for now.
