Description llatikcuf 2011-12-24 22:57:44 UTC
I have two 22" widescreen monitors connected to my computer, they are setup as a single desktop in X. When opening a PDF file with evince, the window size is always gigantic. In most cases it's about 30% wider than a single screen and hangs off one side.

Steps to Reproduce:
Open a PDF document with evince

Actual Results:
A gigantic window opens, one side of the document is off the screen. I have to drag the window over onto the other screen and resize it every time I open a new PDF.

Expected Results:
A window size that never places any of the content out of view

Maybe there should be some way to set that the window size should never be larger than a single screen? I can see how some may not want this as they want documents to open across multiple monitors. In my situation with two widescreens, the smart window sizing is just plain obnoxious.

Thanks for your time.
