Description Chandni Verma 2011-12-15 23:29:00 UTC
It would be nice if we could initiate games from Empathy just as empathy-av.

For networked games, Empathy can very well provide a contact chooser, be a channel dispatcher and include an approver with the individual game clients remaining as the recommended handlers.

Integrating the two would avoid unnecessary code and functionality duplication. What do you think? Although I think a separate chooser/approver/dispatcher would still be needed to avoid dependency for someone who doesn't want full Empathy installed just for playing games online (but why not when we know Empathy is capable).

I agree that Telepathy integration in gnome-games would be great but that shouldn't involve Empathy:

- We should have a lib (folks gtk) implementing an easy to tube contact chooser
- Gnome-games should use it to allow contacts to be invited to game.
- Gnome-games will implement the tube channe handler and approver.

OK. Thanks for the walkthrough.
