its is up streamed beacuse with the every log in it shouldn't ask for the import settings.

And that's no reason as I don't see yet why this is a problem in GNOME's Empathy code, instead of Ubuntu's Empathy code.

How many IM accounts and of which type have been configured? Are these accounts properly saved? What's the ouput of "mc-tool list" ?

i have emailed about this one if  he don't reply than you can close this bug..actually i have once affected by this as i remember but not now empathy rocks and working fine,, so  wait for the reporter reply,
