Description Patryk Zawadzki 2011-12-15 13:08:42 UTC
In the left side list view the fonts are much bigger than in the rest of the application (and rest of GNOME). This does not look right especially as there is no way to resize the left column.

Hey Patryk, they're pretty big and the plan is to make them a bit smaller for the next release (check out the mockups - https://github.com/gnome-design-team/gnome-mockups/raw/master/contacts/png/contacts-1024x768.png).

That said, I do think the labels should be bigger than standard. You lose the text otherwise.

The other thing we need to do is ensure that we do something sensible when the name is too wide for the sidebar.

Patryk, they're a bit smaller now and the names wrap.

See http://afaikblog.files.wordpress.com/2012/02/contacts-screenshot.png

My feeling is that they could maybe be a bit smaller, but that the larger size serves a useful purpose.
Comment 3 Allan Day 2013-03-21 11:19:06 UTC
Most of the text is now the standard font size (the exception being the name in the contact pane).

I'm not 100% about the contact list, but that's covered by bug 696272.
