Description Stefano Teso 2011-12-08 10:46:46 UTC
Each time the cursor changes, the newly selected item is opened in a new tab. This behavior should be disabled for keynav, as it keeps spawning a new window at each keypress. I'm looking into it.

Well, actually keynav is basically useless with the tree sidebar: there's no way to expand a row with mere keypresses... Is this intentional?

You can use the + and - buttons while the sidebar has a focused row (just tried, works here), but I agree the current behaviour is just broken.

How I would like it to work: never open folders in their own windows from the sidebar itself; activating items in the sidebar should only affect the active pane, regardless of the "open each folder in its own window" setting, unless an explicit modifier is used.

This bug should no longer be present with the latest Nautilus redesign.
