GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 665459
Translate extensions.gnome.org
Last modified: 2018-09-24 10:19:35 UTC
extensions.gnome.org is very good. We should translate the site for users in the world. As far as I know, the po file is not found on the Damned Lies at the moment. Thanks,
Currently, EGO isn't translated. I'm unsure how much translating the website would help, given that no user content will be translated.
As you said, descriptions of each extension will not be translated. But many other messages on the page of EGO is translatable by gnome translation teams, and the messages are useful for users. For example: * the description of the steps to upload a extension https://extensions.gnome.org/upload/ * the about-information. https://extensions.gnome.org/about/ * etc.. It is very helpful for non-english speakers that the messages are translated. I would like to translate extensions.gnome.org. (I am a member from the Japanese translation team.) Thank you,
The site would require a lot of effort to make translatable, including things like JS templates and all that fun stuff. I'm currently experimenting, and I'll let you know when I start building the infrastructure for translations.
