GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 665163
strange "Personal" contact group in empathy upon migrating from plain telepathy-gabble to GOA
Last modified: 2011-12-01 09:35:59 UTC
Created attachment 202412 [details] duplicated contacts Hi, I have recently upgraded to Fedora 16 and as such I wanted to give GOA a shot. I added my google account, and deleted my old one from empathy since it was not migrated automatically. As a result, a weird "Personal" contact group has shown up, and more importantly contacts attached to other groups are displayed twice (screenshot). I tried deleting the group, but it made some contacts vanish from my Nexus S, albeit not from the Google Talk client there. Please let me know what additional info is needed to resolve this issue. To clarify: duplicated contacts should go to a group they belong to, and the others should go to ungrouped list (in Polish "Nie w grupach"). Oddly enough, the last contact in the list is working...
This is with the following package versions: gnome-online-accounts-3.2.1-2.fc16.x86_64 empathy-3.2.2-1.fc16.x86_64 telepathy-gabble-0.12.7-1.fc16.x86_64
Not sure why you filed this against GOA. Reassigning.
Well, I did file this against GOA because this issue did not exist when I was using plain telepathy-gabble, without GOA.
