Description Philip Gillißen 2011-11-26 07:34:22 UTC
I have an idea for a simple, yet effective enhancement for the device synchronization.
If you plug in your iPod, Banshee is loading the indizes, the music and the playlists. This takes some time and is shown via a status indicator at the bottom.
While the iPod is loading, you should not be able to press the "Synchronize" button (in German it's "Abgleichen"), because it may cause duplicate entries for playlists and single tracks in the database.

It would be great, if Banshee would block the Synchronize button as long as it is loading the device, so that no synchronization can be done before the device was loaded.

Banshee is not under active development anymore and had its last code changes more than three years ago. Its codebase has been archived.

Closing this report as WONTFIX as part of Bugzilla Housekeeping to reflect
reality. Please feel free to reopen this ticket (or rather transfer the project
to GNOME Gitlab, as GNOME Bugzilla is being shut down) if anyone takes the
responsibility for active development again.
