I recently installed linux for the first time. It worked fine for a week or so then it started giving me problems. First, I become unable to get xwindows at startup. When I type startx the first error message I receive is as follows: "Could not look up internet address for ool-18b8592f. This will prevent GNOME from operating correctly. It may possible to correct the problem by adding ool-18b8592f to the file /etc/hosts." I tried to type ool-18b8592f in /etc/hosts but nothing happened. Today, I got another error, and now I am unable to see task bar at all i.e when I type startx on comman line first I get error one mentioned above then I get following error: Application "panel" (process 1396) has crashed due to a fatal error.
