Description Jiri Eischmann 2011-11-11 10:41:57 UTC
Between GDM 3.0 and 3.2, there was a change in where the login dialog is displayed while using dual head. In GDM 3.0, it was displayed on the screen where the mouse cursor was. In GDM 3.2, it's always displayed on the laptop screen.

It has consequences for users that use an external monitor with a closed laptop lid. And there are many of them. They have to open the lid, log in and close it again. It's very inconvenient.

This is a settings daemon issue. It should never "light up" a monitor on a closed lid.

The fix for that is being tracked by bug 663126
