GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 663640
Studio 12.1 error compiling index.cpp
Last modified: 2011-12-03 18:23:04 UTC
When trying to compile doxygen 1.7.5.1 on Solaris 10/x86 with Oracle Studio 12.1 CC, I came across the following error: "index.cpp", line 3119: Error: Reference to static fixSpaces(const QCString&) not allowed in template writeMemberNavIndex<CmhlInfo>(FTextStream&, int, int, int*, MemberIndexList(*)[256], const CmhlInfo*(*)(int), bool&), try using -features=tmplrefstatic. "index.cpp", line 3213: Where: While instantiating "writeMemberNavIndex<CmhlInfo>(FTextStream&, int, int, int*, MemberIndexList(*)[256], const CmhlInfo*(*)(int), bool&)". "index.cpp", line 3213: Where: Instantiated from non-template code. 1 Error(s) and 1 Warning(s) detected. The suggested workaround works, but being C++-illiterate, I cannot tell if the issue is genuine or a compiler limitation. Rainer
It's a compiler limitation (since it only happens on Solaris CC). I had already included this workaround in the latest snapshot from subversion.
I've just tried SVN doxygen with Studio 12.2 Beta CC (and the -w in tmake.conf removed), and the error is gone. Rainer
This bug was previously marked ASSIGNED, which means it should be fixed in doxygen version 1.7.6. Please verify if this is indeed the case. Reopen the bug if you think it is not fixed and please include any additional information that you think can be relevant.
