GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 663511
reduce "touchpad disabled while typing" delay
Last modified: 2011-11-18 13:37:45 UTC
I use everyday this feature, but the delay between stopping writing and using the touchpad again is so long that it's making me c r a z y. I think that that timing could be reduced by an half in total safe. thanks
[Fixing the bug summary that was impossible to understand.]
Agreed. I am not sure when it happened, I don't think it coincided with upgrading to GNOME 3 (Fedora 15) but at some point the delay before the touchpad re-enables has grown to 3-4 seconds, which is incredibly jarring. Especially when everything I do in a graphical environment revolves around typing something, then clicking something. One second is more than sufficient.
