Description kid1000002000 2011-11-04 16:24:03 UTC
The dconf editor does not provide a way to change the volume step. This is a nuisance for those who use various knobs or dials in hardware to adjust their volume, and poses a small hearing hazard by allowing ultra-sensitive knobs to suddenly turn headphones to full blast within a relatively small amount of time.

See https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-settings-daemon/+bug/871133 for the first bug report; this is probably a more appropriate place for this bug?
