Description Age Bosma (IRC: Forage) 2011-10-23 13:51:11 UTC
The way Empathy is dealing with a closed/hidden contact list is confusing and it is not intuitive to get back to the contact list.

Situation:
- Launch Empathy
- Start a conversation
- Close the contact list
- Keep the conversation window open

Actual Results:
- The Empathy icon is never highlighted in the application bar to indicate it is (still) running
- The contact list window is not shown in the overview mode to click on
- The contact window is not listed in the context menu of the application as one of the application windows running
- Clicking on the icon will only give you focus to the open conversation window
- To get back to the contact list you'll have to use the context menu option "New Window" in the application bar

Expected results:
- The application icon should be highlighted indicating that Empathy is running
- The contact list should be present in the overview mode
- The contact list should be present in the window list of its context menu
- Clicking on the icon should always put focus on the contact list, making it visible again if hidden, because it's the main application window
- The context menu item should be renamed to "Show contact list" since it does not actually create a new (blank) conversation window, nor does it make sense to do so.
