Description Felipe Correa da Silva Sanches 2011-10-21 18:44:52 UTC
I am developing GNOME Screencast for GNOME 3.4 and since GNOME Screenshot is now split out of gnome-utils in its own repository (gnome-screenshot), I received advice to do the same for GNOME Screencast.

https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=661426

Please create a new git repository for GNOME Screencast with the name 'gnome-screencast'

Please give me write access to this too :)
Comment 2 Felipe Correa da Silva Sanches 2011-10-22 01:17:46 UTC
Yes, Dave is working with me on GNOME Screencast.

Please answer the questions on:

https://live.gnome.org/ProjectPrerequisites

And specify if you have Git accounts. Please also specify whom you know within GNOME (maintainers).

GNU GPLv3 or later.

> It must use GTK+/GNOME technologies.
yes it does.
C code using GTK+, DBUS, Gstreamer and libclutter.

> It must be maintained, and already have had at least one public release.
It does not have a release yet because it depends on the DBUS interface implemented in GNOME Shell bug 660203. This is supposed to be a core functionality in the GNOME desktop. It is a feature I am contributing to GNOME and I am being paid to develop it. It is not a personal "pet project". I think for these reasons one can consider it a clearly useful project.

> To the best of your knowledge, it must not infringe on patents (most gnome.org servers are in the US).
I am not infringing on patents as far as I can tell.

> If copyright assignment is required, please first read our policy on copyright assignments; it's simpler to not have any copyright assignment.
I believe that there is no need for a copyright assignment.

> And specify if you have Git accounts.
Not yet. https://live.gnome.org/NewAccounts states the following:
"Attention: In general, only request an account after someone said it is a good idea."

Should I request a gnome.org git account?

> Please also specify whom you know within
> GNOME (maintainers).

Milan Bouchet-Valat, Cosimo Cecchi and Jasper St. Pierre

Please ask Cosimo if he'd vouch for you. If so, request git account and module nautilus. Cosimo is a maintainer of that module.

+1 from me.
Comment 7 Olav Vitters 2012-03-01 08:24:59 UTC
Felipe, did you request an account using the procedure above?
Comment 8 Andrea Veri 2013-11-21 14:55:33 UTC
The GNOME Infrastructure Team is currently migrating its bug / issue tracker away from Bugzilla to Request Tracker and therefore all the currently open bugs have been closed and marked as OBSOLETE.

The following move will also act as a cleanup for very old and ancient tickets that were still living on Bugzilla. If your issue still hasn't been fixed as of today please report it again on the relevant RT queue.

More details about the available queues you can report the bug against can be found at https://wiki.gnome.org/Sysadmin/RequestTracker.

Thanks for your patience,

the GNOME Infrastructure Team
