GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 662226
fade out for scrolling offscreen in chat is too far
Last modified: 2011-10-31 17:46:16 UTC
Created attachment 199468 [details] screenshot When I'm scrolling in the chat messages I can only see one single line of the message in the full foreground color at a time. The fade out area is nearly half the vertical size of the bubble. Also the fade out cuts to zero a bit too abruptly at the top and bottom edges.
Fading when reaching top/bottom or leaving the extreme would be better than immediate drop/application of the mask. Also the width of the mask is a bit too tall for text indeed.

Also the width of the mask is a bit too > tall for text indeed. We made the fade area changeable via css in bug 651813 for exactly this reason, but it seems no one did actually make use of it in the message-tray.
