GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 662144
Forward Button Fails to work from email message
Last modified: 2011-11-10 17:52:52 UTC
Version Information: Evolution 3.2.0 Ubuntu 11.10 64bit expected: When clicking the forward button the email message should close and a new message (with the original forwarded) should appear. actual: When trying to forward an email the forward button results in the message being closed, but no forward message being created. Error when evolution is run from CL: (evolution:2231): evolution-shell-CRITICAL **: e_shell_backend_get_shell: assertion `E_IS_SHELL_BACKEND (shell_backend)' failed
If the preference to close the message window is set to 'ask' or 'never' the problem is not present. This is only an issue if 'always' is chosen.
This has been reported in Fedora as well. https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=740793
dupe of this one https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=660224
btw.. how does one unset the preference to close the message window? I confirmed this in not in current Ubuntu 3.2.1-0ubuntu1, but now I wan't to revert my selection.
Through GConf.
thx, found it, prompts->reply_close_browser
