GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 661464
[Call] Use dark theme by default?
Last modified: 2011-10-12 16:01:52 UTC
"Media" GNOME apps like totem and eog are now using the dark variant of the theme by default. The idea is to provide a more immersive experience focusing on the media itself rather than the UI around it. As the new call UI reduces the number of 'wasted' UI space, maybe it could be a good idea to do it as well.
Nick: what do you think?

Personally I think it looks better that way.
It does currently, certainly. I would recommend this change for now. We do plan to work more on the visuals for this release cycle but this is an excellent example of a little iteration which makes things better in the short term. Let's do it!
