Description rockonthemoonfm 2011-10-08 15:44:27 UTC
status bar is always present and never displaying any info.
actually there's no reason to display info into it.
let's suppress the obsolete status bar and enjoy a better interface.

Currently it's used to give a description of the menu items when the mouse is hovering. This doesn't seem like a good reason to have the status bar, though. I'll get rid of it if no one brings up any good reasons to keep it around.

Sounds ideal for a tooltip instead.
