Description Aleksander Mischenko 2011-10-08 08:32:31 UTC
My system was locked by screensaver with language=ukrainian, when im trying to enter password to unlock session language is showing like english(system default by the way), but in real it is still ukrainian.

To show proper language you should change it with keyboard combination (alt+shift). Ive turned on scroll-lock indication of non-default language (keyboard prefs -> language layout > turn on LED keyboard indication ... ) and it shows right language with this unlock screen.

Hi, there was a problem with libxklavier that meant the indicator showed the wrong value sometimes. it was fixed here:

http://cgit.freedesktop.org/libxklavier/commit/?id=3d12615671ae69b718d23e5eeeed4164eeeb4582

So that would fix the problem, but since your report another bug got introduced that makes it break in a similiar (but subtly different way):

https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=675167

I'm closing this NOTGNOME, but you may want to follow bug 675167 if you're experiencing funny behavior with more recent versions of gnome/libxklavier.
