GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 660827
Upward directed context menu's appear under the gnome-shell panel
Last modified: 2012-01-26 02:17:31 UTC
Created attachment 198156 [details] example of bug When I open a large context menu the top item is covered by the panel. Attached is an image of the bug, the blue line at the top is the cursor highlighting a hidden element.
I have the same exact issue. Seems as though the panel is not taken into account when calculating the position of the right click menu.
I have the same issue. I would like to add that it happens a lot on netbooks, where each nautilus context menu is to large, and it is very annoying. I noticed that icons on the desktop are also placed to high.
I've noticed this a lot while using Inkscape and modifying stroke styles. If you use one of the lower ones at the bottom of the list, and then try to go back to using a solid line, the solid line (first option) is under the Shell. This is on a 1080p display, so this is not limited to netbooks. Having to select something higher up in the list just so that I can then change it back to a solid line is a nuisance. I've attached my Inkscape example.
