GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 660706
Audio Shortcuts don't work anymore
Last modified: 2011-10-03 13:48:53 UTC
I upgraded to 3.2 today, and immediately noticed the usage Audio shortcuts (Fn+arrow keys) on my thinkpad T520 is denied with a silent frame showing a "restricted" sign. It's not possible to interact to the playback anymore, though the Volume buttons work as expected. Since I and most likely many other people make heavy use of the keys, please fix that ASAP.
The Issue seems to have resolved by itself, I cannot say which application was responsible for this though. I'll leave that open to leave the chance for someone to reproduce the bug.
Which application are you trying to use it with? The "(/)" sign will only show up if there are no applications registered through the media-keys plugin.
I'm using Pithos, the Issue reoccures randomly for me, I cannot backtrace the behaviour to a specific action.
It never calls the GrabMediaPlayerKeys method, and expects signals to still be sent. http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~kevin-mehall/pithos/trunk/view/head:/pithos/plugins/mediakeys.py *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 660549 ***
