Description xeike 2011-10-01 10:22:19 UTC
Hi!

I would like to have my book featured on the GTK+ website. This book is in german language and covers GTK+ 3.x programming using builder XML files.

Please see

http://de.wikibooks.org/wiki/GTK_mit_Builder

Hello,

In order to put this online, I would need your full name for the Books section. Also I presume the title is "GTK with builder"?

I have to say, I would expect to be able to find your name on the wikibooks.org page but I couldn't?

Is this book unfinished? It seems quite small.

The title is "GTK+ 3.x mit Builder" (en: GTK+ version 3.x with builder).

The book is finished. There will be some additions and changes, as this is a wiki. And hopefully some extra chapters about tools like glade or bindings like python3-gtk3. This book may evolve in time, as version 3 of GTK+ goes around for some years. This book is not intended to be a reference guide, but more "a walk in the park" for beginners.

In Germany, no big publisher is interested in GTK+ books, as they do not sell very good. So I decided to publish this on wikibooks using my nick name. I would love not to see my real name next to my book, as this is now "open for writing" and not every change on this book is made by myself.

Best regards

Eike Krumbacher

Thanks Eike.

I have pushed the changes now. Unfortunately I have put your name on our page so people know who it is written by. All other articles use this and I am sticking to that format.

Thanks for reporting the bug and the book work contribution!

Hi!

I would like to change the authors name, as my lastname changes due to some circumstances.

My lastname is "Lange" for now and hopefully the last name-change in my life ;-)

Eike Lange
