Description Vincent Untz 2011-09-26 12:01:15 UTC
The firefox extension first tries to work with libtracker-sparql-0.10.so.0. But it's actually using some API that is not in 0.10, iirc.

Do you know which API?

CCing Adrien here for comment.
Comment 2 Jürg Billeter 2011-09-29 09:56:44 UTC
Given that the Firefox extension is currently in the same repository/tarball, I would only support the current tracker library version.

Adrien, can you let me know if you have any issues about this patch.

Vincent, I wonder also if we're doing the same with the thunderbird plugin. Can you be more specific about the APIs we're using not in 0.10?

Well... :)

This was done for the 0.10/0.11 support period which translates into 0.10/0.12 binaries of course. But I think you make a valid point.

I will patch the Thunderbird plugin too if the approach here is fine by Adrien.

I don't remember as I found the issue on the computer of somebody else a while ago, and I didn't take a note of the exact issue. Maybe I remember wrong about the missing API, but it clearly made firefox hang :-)
