GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 660046
Don't autostart nm-applet in KDE
Last modified: 2012-03-19 21:57:10 UTC
Fedora, Debian, Ubuntu, etc. have been patching this since 2009 since they use knetworkmanager instead.

Created attachment 203422 [details] [review] don't autostart nm-applet in KDE, do show connection editor in XFCE Slightly better patch. First, unlike the one above, it actually applies to current network-manager-applet git head :) Second, the connection editor should presumably be shown in all desktop environments where nm-applet is getting autostarted, i.e. nm-connection-editor.desktop.in should have "NotShowIn=KDE;" instead of "OnlyShowIn=GNOME;".
Thanks, pushed to applet git master.
