>Description:
After enter username as root and password,
it cleans screen for a short time ( username
and password passed) and then drops back to
login promt.

If loged in as other user, in xterm using su
command switch to root, and run
/etc/X11/xdm/Xsession gnome
it shows crashing message:

Application "gnome-login-check" (process 1689)
has crashed due to a fatal error ( segment
failure)


>How-To-Repeat:
It just happens in one of my computers after
run fsck -sA when startup failed and prompted
to do so.
