GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 659331
enable animations in /share/themes/Clearlooks/gtk-2.0/gtkrc with the --enable-animation switch
Last modified: 2014-04-05 17:02:12 UTC
The animated progressbar is not enabled in /share/themes/Clearlooks/gtk-2.0/gtkrc when a user compiles with the --enable-animation switch. I think it should be if the user invokes compilation with the aforementioned switch.
I am not convinced that this is the right thing to do. I would prefere to add a second option (that implicitly sets the --enable-animation switch) for the theme. The reason is, that distributions might want to enable the animation support in the engine (to support external themes), but keep it disabled in the default Clearlooks theme.
I think another configure switch is a great idea.
This project is not under active development anymore (except for buildtools, the last 'real' code change happened in October 2010). According to developers, it is currently unlikely that there will be any further active development. Closing this report as WONTFIX as part of Bugzilla Housekeeping to reflect reality. Please feel free to reopen this bug report in the future if anyone takes the responsibility for active development again.
