Description Piotr Drąg 2011-09-09 13:04:07 UTC
There is a generated file in po/POTFILES.in named po/iso3166.tab.h. It breaks producing a POT file as intltool can't process files which don't exist in source code. gettext also strongly advises to avoid generated files.

GNOME translators are already translating country names in libgweather. It would be silly to translate those again in each module which need country names translated.

The proper resolution of this bug is to either use a translation domain which already contains the country names translated, or to create a separate module where all modules can refer to for getting those strings. Please!

totem uses iso-codes package for translated languages, which contains also translated country names. It's quite handy, maybe nm-applet could use it too?
Comment 4 Claude Paroz 2011-09-09 13:38:02 UTC
Sure, using iso-codes seems the right thing to do!

Thanks for pointing to iso-codes.

I've committed code to use iso-codes to master:

POT file is now generated properly, so this bug can be closed.

Could you please close it?

Thanks!
