Description Allison Karlitskaya (desrt) 2011-09-07 13:09:05 UTC
the desktop help should have a topic for what all of the icons in the top-right of the screen mean. it's not immediately obvious, for example, what the "connected to wired network" icon means.

this topic could include pictures of the icons themselves (since theme is not as much of an issue as it used to be).

I think this is a good idea. Marking gnome-love. Could be a new intern contribution, a google-code in contribution or any beginner. I would be willing to help a new contributor through completing it.

Great suggestion. I would just like to note here that I am currently working on this patch as part of my GWOP application.

Icon figures for page

These are all the figures for the page, which is still in progress.

This will add the remaining figures needed for status-icons.page, as well as the final page file itself.

Please let me know if there was an error in my building of this file, and any feedback on the page is highly appreciated!

Hi Monica,

This page looks really great! The only thing I can see is that the "floatleft" style attribute should be removed from the top-bar-icons.png image. I think it's being over-ridden by the "floatend" attribute anyways, so best to get rid of it.

So now we just have to decide how to link to this page. My thought is to link to it from shell-introduction.page, perhaps adding a link from somewhere in the the second paragraph. The paragraph may need a slight edit then. Your thoughts are welcome on this if you have another place in mind.
