Description Johannes Berg 2001-11-30 15:35:08 UTC
When downloading files off a site that needs HTTP Authentication, downloads
through GTM do not work as the credentials are not transferred to GTM.
Could you please add the option of downloading those files directly through
Galeon, or pass credentials to GTM (if possible), because otherwise its
really a hassle to have to change the setting just for downloading 1 or 2
files.

:-)

Can you please give me a testcase site ? I dunno where to get an https
download :(
Comment 2 Yanko Kaneti 2001-12-01 20:00:05 UTC
its not about https, its about http with a basic authentication
Comment 3 Marco Pesenti Gritti 2001-12-02 18:57:08 UTC
ok, can we have a testcase for basic auth downloads ?
Comment 4 Johannes Berg 2001-12-24 00:04:48 UTC
Sorry about the long delay, the mail got totally lost

here's a testcase:
http://www.sipsolutions.de/demo/random.txt
and
http://www.sipsolutions.de/demo/random.zip

The zip is the identical file with a different name so it gets a
different mime type and galeon passes it on to GTM.
