Description jean-louis 2011-09-04 23:10:32 UTC
Fn+F3 toggles my touchpad.

I can perfectly disable my touchpad, the dialog pop-up shows its disabled. The touchpad is correctly disabled.

Then I press the key again to enable the touchpad again, the pop-up shows the touchpad is enabled again.

But the touchpad is still in disabled mode.
xinput list shows me:
⎜ ↳ SynPS/2 Synaptics TouchPad id=14 [slave pointer (2)]
 This device is disabled

I also found out that changing to tty1 for example, and then go back to tty7 (where gnome is running) makes the touchpad work again.

In the code it does:
        g_settings_set_boolean (settings, TOUCHPAD_ENABLED_KEY, !state);
But I guess something needs to be added to make the real activation gets triggered.
