GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 658053
Missing translator comments and typos
Last modified: 2011-09-03 21:07:21 UTC
Created attachment 195474 [details] [review] Added translator comments In antler_settings.py, the keyboard type strings are missing translator comments. There is also a typo: geometery -> geometry Here is a patch for fixing this. However I'd like to give more hints to translators about the meaning of various keyboard types. Is there any link (maybe to images) for explaining Touch/Full scale/Scan?
I'd say get this in if you don't get a response by Monday (String Freeze)...
Comment on attachment 195474 [details] [review] Added translator comments Thanks! Please commit.
Sure, but you didn't answer my question about link to explain Touch/Full scale/Scan keyboard types?
Touch is the keyboard that would be used on a touch device, it offers features such as extended keys (long press on a key gives variants). Full scale looks more like a hardware keyboard. Scan is a special keyboard used for switch devices where you have a grid that is scanned by row and columns. I hope that explains it. I'll try to dig up images if not :)
Thanks for the explanation, it's already a lot more clear for me. I completed the translator comments and committed my patch.
