GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 657395
Evolution randomly segfaults after some time of usage
Last modified: 2011-09-05 06:19:52 UTC
Happened when Arch Linux (64-bit) updated to the 3.0 series. Present both in 3.0.1 and 3.0.2 installs. Has not happened in a couple of hours running 3.1.4 (happens within 10-15 minutes max in 3.0.x). Error message to console:- http://pastebin.com/N8y4j9wt Debug trace with cairo (xcb-enabled), evolution, evolution-data-server, gtk3, and pixman debug symbols:- http://pastebin.com/EB52kvZC I'm running Awesome WM, not full Gnome environment. Adwaita theming (dark) for Evolution and gnome apps in general.
Please install debuginfo packages of evolution, evolution-data-server, gtk+, glib and paste the updated trace here, tia. More details can be found here: http://live.gnome.org/GettingTraces
Hi :) The link is to trace http://pastebin.com/czYwWghy Sorry i didn't give this as an attachment. There seems to be problems with bugzilla's certificates at the moment Regards from Tom :)
Problem does not seem to occur (so far) on 3.0.3
Hi :) Ahh, fantastic :) Thanks :) Regards from Tom :)
Just for a record, this is the backtrace (always place them as a comment in Gnome's bugzilla, it's useful when searching for them). I suppose this was fixed by bug #651062, thus I'm marking this as a duplicate of it.
